It’s important to handle wood products correctly.
Hair Accessories
Caring for your Hair Accessories is simple and easy. By their nature they don't need much maintenance, but if you provide some care for them they will last a lifetime.
All of our Hair Accessories are coated with a fine all natural wax that protects the wood and keeps the utensil smooth and shiny. If you're noticing the wood becoming rough or dull, you simply need to apply another coat of wax, let it dry, and then buff it shiny and smooth.
First, take a clean cloth and dip it in the wax. Then apply the wax equally and liberally over the entire piece. Let the wax dry for 20 minutes, and then using a clean cloth buff the wax using fast, short motions with firm pressure. When the cloth is sliding smoothly and you see a nice shine you'll know you're done.
Many wood waxes will suffice, but we recommend using our all natural non-toxic Wood Oil & Wax.
